At the time of the reconstruction of Y&#333;gen-in, Og&#333; had asked painters from the Kano School to create the paintings, but when she was fed up with the slow progress of the work, she asked Ogata S&#333;haku (grandfather of <a class=\"glossaryLink\" href=\"https:\/\/shoga.info\/?glossary=korin-ogata\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">Ogata K&#333;rin<\/a>) who was associated with the Asai family to find suitable painters. Then, Ogata S&#333;haku consulted his uncle, <a class=\"glossaryLink\" href=\"https:\/\/shoga.info\/?glossary=hon-ami-koetsu\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">Hon-ami K&#333;etsu<\/a>, and Tawaraya S&#333;tatsu was chosen. Tawaraya S&#333;tatsu, who was an unknown fan painting artist at the time, was marked out.
