Hirai Baisen (平井楳仙, 1889-1969) was a Japanese-style painter. He was born in Kyoto pref. He studied painting techniques under Takeuchi Seihō. His specialty was figure paintings, flowers & birds paintings, and landscape paintings.
- 1889: Born in Kyoto pref.
- 1906: Graduated from the Kyoto-shiritsu Bijutsu Kogei Gakkō (Kyoto City Specialist School of Arts and Crafts).
- 1907: Won a prize at the 1st Bunten exhibition.
- 1908: Won a prize at the 2nd Bunten exhibition.
- 1909: Won the 3rd prize at the 3rd Bunten exhibition.
- 1910: Won the 3rd prize at the 4th Bunten exhibition. Won a silver prize at the Japan-British Exhibition in London.
- 1911: Received an honorable mention at the 5th Bunten.
- 1912: Won the 3rd prize at the 6th Bunten.
- 1914: Won the 3rd prize at the 8th Bunten. Won a silver prize at the Tokyo Taisho Hakurankai exhibition.
- 1915: Won the 2nd prize at the 9th Bunten. Became exempted from future examinations required to display art in the exhibition of the Bunten.
- 1917: Won a prize at the 11th Bunten exhibition.
- 1918: Won a prize at the 12th Bunten exhibition.
- 1919: Won a prize at the 1st Teiten exhibition.
- 1920: Won a prize at the 2nd Teiten exhibition.
- 1921: Won a prize at the 3rd Teiten exhibition.
- 1922: Became exempted from future examinations required to display art in the exhibition of the Teiten. Became a judge of the 4th Teiten exhibition.
- 1924: Became a judge of the 5th Teiten exhibition.
- 1925: Became a judge of the 6th Teiten exhibition.
- 1926: Became a judge of the 7th Teiten exhibition.
- 1927: Became a judge of the 8th Teiten exhibition.
- 1928: Exhibited at the 9th Teiten exhibition (Exemption of Examination).
- 1929: Exhibited at the 10th Teiten exhibition (Exemption of Examination).
- 1930: Exhibited at the 11th Teiten exhibition (Exemption of Examination).
- 1932: Exhibited at the 14th Teiten exhibition.
- 1941: Exhibited at the 4th Shin Bunten exhibition (Exemption of Examination).
